JoViPitPaks™ (PowerPaks)

Previously known as JoViPowerPaks, these products resemble small bean bags except they are filled with natural cherry pits instead of beans or the traditional shredded foam chips and are covered with Ivory Cotton/Lyrca®. The larger “paks” have channels to prevent the cherry pits from migrating to one side. As patients breathe in and out or move their limbs, the JoViPitPaks provide a gentle massaging action through small movement of the fill against tissues. This, combined with the density of the cherry pits, provides an excellent medium for softening fibrotic tissue, at the base of the toes, the dorsum of the hand, the lateral aspect of the forearm or medial thigh - even breast tissue. This is an aggressive therapy and should be undertaken with CLOSE therapist supervision. Check patient tolerance WHILE THEY ARE IN THE CLINIC and do not send them home with a JoViPitPak without establishing safe treatment guidelines, maximum use time limits and amount of external compression.
